Postponed: Gaining Alignment for OD, HR, and Talent Development Initiatives

There are unique differences in OD, HR, and Learning professionals. However, for many senior leaders and employees the differences are not that clear. And of course in smaller organizations, often the same person wears many hats and must bring a breadth of expertise.

Given the blurred lines, how can we all position the right level of solutions to business leaders?

Any time we are involved in driving people-related initiatives to support the business, OD, HR and Learning professionals need to clearly communicate the need and gain alignment. When the business asks for one thing, but we can tell they need something more, it’s important we seamlessly integrate for them the various expertise that will deliver the results they need.

On Sept 7th, we’re bringing together a panel that’s been there and done that! They will spark our conversation with specific examples and best practices for gaining alignment regarding people and talent development initiatives. Through an interactive discussion, you too will gather and share lessons learned.

Our panelists are Dean Altman, experienced Human Resources Consultant; Helena Herrero, People Strategy Director at Ideas Generators; and Eliza Fendell, former SVP of Culture at Aeropost.com. Our moderator will be Jeri Dembrak, Cultural Synthesizer.

Topics include:

  1. How OD has been helpful in driving HR, Training, and Talent Management initiatives

  2. What has made projects go well – and not go well

  3. Best practices for securing Senior Leaders endorsement / championship

  4. Barriers and solutions for aligning this work with business outcomes
